wierd oil gauge question

this just started the other and I thought it was really strange.. every once in a while whenever I stop, the needle on my oil gauge that's on the dash will go all the way to the left and then the "check gauges" light will come on and then the needle goes back to the middle of the gauge and the light goes off.. it only occurs for like a second but I just thought it was really strange.. it there something wrong?

Sounds like a bad sending unit or a loose wire.

Have you checked the oil level in your motor? It could be the sending unit but it also could be your pump sucking air instead of oil

mine has the same problem. the engine sounds normal and the sending unit sensor is new. the gauge still move up and down sometimes very high sometimes almost all the way down. the oil in the engine is full though. wot run still running strong etc.

just change my spark plug last week and saw the inner driver side plug have oil on it. no oil leak from valve cover or whatsoever and couldn't find the leak where the oil from.

My daily job is to fry rice for my customers....
