CAI Intake & Throttle Body

I recently aquired a '95 Thunderbird and I'm looking to spruce it up a bit. I started by purchasing an '03 GT MAF sensor and I'll be ordering an Injecttech chip for it this week... now I'm looking to complete the installation. From my searches, I've decided that I'll go with the Mac CAI, however I'm not quite sure which kit to purchase. Will the '96-03 Mustang GT CAI work on my car?

The second part of my question is about the '03 GT throttle body... is it a direct swap?

Thanks...

the TB will not bolt up right away you will need to swap to 96or newer intake manifold but you can use f-150 aftermarket TB's

as for the maf, it should bolt on fine, but you will need an adapter cause those mafs are bolted on not clamped on, with that chip it should be all good

Some of the 4.6 guys may correct me since i'm more of a 5.0 guy and don't have a 4.6...

That TB will not work, and converting to a 96+ intake would cost almost as much as a 96+ engine.

The best way to use the 03GT MAF is to bolt it to the 03 GT airbox. You will need to order a wiring pigtail for the MAF. See the tech article on modular depot.

The best CAI for the money is the civic tube.

I disagree. The 02 GT intake tube is the best product for the money. And it'll fit the MAF perfectly, since it's made for it. All you have to do it read this article I wrote on it a little bit ago. The price for the tube is about 20 bucks from Dan Newman.

Really? From what I've seen, it seemed like a somewhat easier modification. I thought it's mainly the head swap and upper intake manifold swap (along with the odds and ends).

karkraft.com sells a 70mm 94-95 specific t-body...I had the 70mm FRPP unit. I think that the bigger tb is a waste of money. Mine didnt seem to make much of a difference.

also, the mac cai will not work on your car. there is one for the 96-97 thunderbirds but not the 94-95's. you have a front mounted throttle body and the 96-97 has a side mounted one.
