engine missing(still)

well i dont know what to do anymore and i been kinda looking for the answer to my problem...my car misses when under load....everytime and everywhere, even though its less when its colder outside...if anyone has any other ideas...all the help is appreciated...but here is what i have looked and done

-stock TC was shuddering...thought it was that but i replaced it with a new marauder TC and newer 4r70w
-replaced spark plugs
-replaced wires
-replaced the coil packs while i was at it
-new fuel filter
-cleaned the MAF with a new filter
-went up to premium gas for a while to see if that was the problem
-fuel injector cleaner for a while too

car idles awsome when its idling or reving up...its always under load that it does it or right before the TC is still locked....once it unlocks it stops missing unless a lot of load is given then its starts missing under the RPM range....

my last idea is that i might need a reflashing of the EEC or something or a chip to make up for my exhaust since it has no cats or a lot of back pressure...and the car also has MILs in it....

someone please help....and sorry about the length

Well if it's tripping a code, Take it to autozone. They'll put it on the scope for free. O2 sensors may be bad. Just a thought. Thats all I can think of right now.
Good Luck.

maybe, if you have all that new stuff, 02s wouldnt cuase a miss, you tried runing your car with the stock eec/maf combo seeing if that clears it up?

you said you think you might need a retune, did you mean your stock eec might need to be replaced?

yep...i was thinking since all the new stuff is in there (like the tranny and TC...if that even needs a retune), and the exhaust....i might need to reflash the stock settings of the eec

Smokyromance, You've done everything I would do. That thing should run but it doesn't. Now just short of an internal problem, It's got to be electrical at this point. You just did the mechanical stuff. First thought is two of the spark plug wires are are mixed up. You gotta check the spark plug wires with the diagram in hand one more time. Pull the boots on both ends and make sure they click and snap, also while you're there, the fuel injector connections can come loose by accident. It's a poor conection at best. Pull them off, spray them with contact cleaner, and push them back on. They don't click good, but make sure they're at least on. Now if all the plug wires are correct, the fuel injector connections are on, you got new coils, remember to pull that connection and spray it too. That thing should not have a direct miss! If you find a mixed wire, and it happens, still complete the task. You'll sleep better. Ed

do you have an aftermarket burn for your comp in there?, im thinking that could be it, but i dont think exhaust TC and a new tranny would throw it off that much, so just run through all the stuff again like ed mentioned, if all that check 100%, then i guess check the eec, but i doubt the mods you put on would through it off that much

stock ones should cost less then 100 bucks, yes they need a tune though, a buddy of mine picked up his 02+ GT maf from advacned auto for something like 100 + $30 core, not 100% sure about that price but it wasnt like from ford for like 300 dollars

T-bird maf's are a different calibration than mustangs, period. even same years....you need to get either a stock T-bird maf, or a 03 stang one with a chip to compensate... if you decide to chiop it try Lonnie as he will give you a good burn and good service, plus youll get some more power and better shifts.... good luck....

Easy, PM him....Lonnie....He has been around these boards forever, his prices will be competetive, and he is just starting up his business here in Fla. but needs to update his data (phone# ,address, DBA, etc...remind him)Has been burning chips/tuning for a long time, and will really give you personal attention... He is useing SCT tuneing for his chips . If you lived in Fla I would recommend Ramsey's Performance in Tampa for a complete dyno tune, using Diablo software...the important thing is the guy who stands behind the chip ... those two are the best for service and knowledge in my book... no doubt others will have their favorites too... good luck

thanks a lot guys for all the help...i got all my questions answered...but due to some money issues....i might just buy a stock maf for now and get the aftermarket stuff for later..

now i can go to a local parts store and buy a non-motorcraft maf for $95 or buy a motorcraft maf from dan newman for $115+s&h....are the non motorcraft mafs any good? or should i just pay the extra for the motorcraft one...or should i just save up a lil more and get a aftermarket maf with a tune?

Buy the ford one... its a few bucks more, but in this case, you get what you pay for
