Question for any Explorer swappers

What kind of mileage have you been getting with the new engine with or without a tune? I finally got a lot of 95% highway above 65, and I only got 20mpg with 93 and a SCT tune from MD. I have gotten as high as 32mpg in the past on a few trips, and I'm hoping I can get that back somehow...

Mine is down on the highway from the old motor for sure. I get 17-18.5 around town depending on how I drive and low 20s on the highway (23 or so).

Are you chipped/tuned? I would think with a good tune, it could stay up there.

Yeah I'm tuned. And to be honest I haven't been on the highway for a full tank so I'm really not sure. All I know is I got 29.5 mpg on the highway with the old motor, and I haven't seen anything remotely close to that since then City mileage little change if any.

I remember when I first got mine I noticed a little less mileage, dont remember the specifics though. At the time I was running the stock tune and I dont think it improved much when I got my Apten chip. Since I put the 3.73s in I've been getting about 20mpg with combined city/highway driving....and I dont rag on it but I dont baby it either
