very very very very very loud. did i mention very loud?

blown96bird has kooks and the catless art system with mags in the back, and it is really really loud. it sounds ok on the outside, very good on the inside, but i think he has the 4x9 mufflers...

Does anyone know what kind of torque loss/ high end gain i should expect? Also is it a good quality sound? Does it have that gurgly sound on decelleration? Will the headers make it sound better? Sorry for all the questions lol.

Actually the car only has only an Apten Chip (premium), an MAC cold air intake, Screamin Demon ignition (like that does anything at all lol) a dynomax cat-back, no mufflers or 3rd cat. Thats pretty much it, the only mod that really did anything was the chip. Next I want to do a Mark 8 TC, 3:73's MMX d/s. Then I PI intake, heads, and 268 comp cams. That will be so great. I really found it surprising it chirps into 3rd.

Blown96Bird's car is so loud at WOT, we hear him coming from miles away. But at part throttle, it's not bad at all.

Be ready for a lot of Rez in the cab. It does sound good, but you will notice your molers vibrating a tad. Mine is 2.4 all the way back and not the ART, but almost identical with 2.5 Cherry Bomb mufflers and it does sound good, but I wish the rez was less. Might end up putting Magnaflow twin 2.5 in and out in it to help that.

It gave me more torque to step up but that was from stock exhaust and at the sametime I added, PI intake and Cams. Probably not a fair comparison.

I had the cams and intake installed and drove the car about 100 miles that way before getting the 2.5 installed. It helped with high end hp because it breathes the entire way much better. I think the hp gain was well worth the tad bit of tq loss. But it felt like I gained since I changed so much at the same time.

Enjoy it!!

Would it sound better with two dynomax ST mufflers. I have two almost brand new ones sitting around i could use. I'm just thinking it won't sound "mean" enough.

i beleve that glasspacks will take away a little of that cabin wine, my exhaust was like yours, and i had a little wine in the cabin, so i put a glasspack where the 3rd cat and resonator was and it took a little out, cant really tell you, and you prolly dont know what im talking about untill you try it, but ya, it will be really realy really loud, about as loud as a n14 cummings engin with a short straight pipe

Does anybody have any input about a catless A.R.T. system with Dynomax Super Turbo Mufflers?

For what it's worth I was told by Magnaflow not to use Super Turbo mufflers. If you do a search on cats you will find the high flows I used and a good price on them delivered.
