E-Bay Headers

Does any body have any knowledge of the chrome headers by Stone Mountain Racing? They appear to be shorties, chrome plated. Bidding starting at $75.00

Save for the Kooks in my opinion, it would be better to only do it once. Unless you can weld, some people have had them for a while with no problems and some have had them crack.

If you wanna mod up the car heavily go for the kooks definetly.

I didnt see anywhere in there where anyone talks about the SS AUTOCHROME headers cracking, and I still have yet to hear of anyone who has had that happen to them with the SS AUTOCHROME's. Wether they are JBA or not, it's hard to say, but I find it hard to believe someone would buy JBA's, make them look different, and sell them for LESS.

Noticed how I say ss autochrome, and not JBA.

I'm just emphasizing that while yes, the JBA do crack, and they suck, I have yet to see proof that the ss autochromes are actually JBA's in disguise, and that they are prone to the same cracking as well. Everyone seems to think that since they are shorty headers, that automatically they will crack, and thats ridiculous, especially since I havent heard of anyone having cracked a set yet.

Even my modded SVO/FRPP shorties are cracked (which they are well known for.) With the difficulty of the install, Kook's is the only way to go.

SSAC sells Stone Mountain Racing headers... which look like 1st gen JBA's that have been modified..

you never know.. but i do think i read someone had a problem.. still.. even with the same style as JBA, it has already been shown that they are only for wood factor as there are no real gains w/ these shorties over stock.. the only gains seen are from the kooks midlength...
