K&N Filters

Ive had mine for awhile. I rememer that their was a certin way you were suppost to clean the things, but ive since lost in instructions and box for it.. Dose anyone know what needs to be done? Ive just been blowing it down with an air compressor.

I just have the $40 filter. Ive heard their was a kit, but i dont have that.

the recommend washing them with soap and water, and then letting them dry thoroughly before you oil them with the recharge kit.

You need to very careful with the compressed air and blowing them out. You could blow a hole right through the filter medium (cotton gauze, I think?)

I believe that K&N makes an aerosol cleaner that you can spray on the filter, let it sit, then rinse off with water. Then after drying you have to re-oil it.
