Engine bay wiring harness

So, I just got a Meziere electric water pump, and was looking for a place to get a switched feed that only was on with the engine in 'run', not 'acc'. The instructions said to use Pin 9 on the harness coming from the firewall on the passenger side.
Well, it works... but what exactly did I tie in to? I can't find a reliable wiring diagram anywhere.

you can open up the wire loom for the wires going to the coil packs......red with green stripe is the color that is ignition-switched on....so you could use this to turn on a relay....the actual positive voltage to drive the pump would then have to come from either the battery or some wire after the fuse box in the engine bay, if you havent already done so

^ yes, please use a relay (if you aren't already) and grab the power for the pump off the battery. That pump probably will draw too much power for most of the wires in the loom.

Pin 9 in the wiring diagram is shown as the power supply for most of the engine's electronic controls. At quick glance I can see it powers the fuel injectors, oxygen sensors, EVAP components, IAC, and EVR. I agree with the others to use a relay. You could really distrupt some things by drawing that much amperage from the wiring harness.

Thanks 486, thats what I was looking for.

Just to put everyone's mind at ease, YES I did use a relay.
I just wanted to know what I had that only was hot in run.

Already got one. Too lazy to probe every wire.
I had the high current feed taken care of. I have a multitap terminal on the battery post. Toss on an inline fuse, relay... all set. Finding a feed on in run AND acc was easy. Finding the run only.... priceless.
