That's bad news. I'd find a replacement soon. That tape I'm sure is *barely* working. Temporary fixes most often become permanent ones

(I know because I said the same thing with mine)

that happened to me as well....in the same exact spot...i suspect there is extra stress at that spot because that intake tube is not made for our cars, so it may rest unevenly at some points.....since i caught mine early it wasnt as bad, and i used ultra-black RTV and let it set properly...and no problems since.....although you might have to get a new one and keep an eye on it

i will get a new one soon, looking on ebay and have no luck yet as of today. funny thing is i have 3 tube of brand new rtv(red, copper and black) and was contemplating using it but need to use the car and is getting dark, so duct tape to the rescue.

i was feeling the car is been response awkward for the past couple day, sometimes just feel like lack of power, sometimes drives fine, so i thought the spark plug is time to change(seafoam it couple days ago, so may damage spark plug as i experience before) when ahead and change the spark plug and found this.

so looking for idea to prevent this again...any idea guys?

shave the inside of the tube so it doesn't have to stretch so much just to fit over the TB.
