bolt pattern on new 5.4 shellby?

is the bolt pattern on the new 07 shellby 5.4L block the same as say,, the 4.6L DOHC?

as soon as i saw the '5.4 4v DOHC' part in the magazine i was reading, my first thought was 'damn, i bet i could get that in my cougar.'

the block is a standard everyday NVH iron truck block.

96 gt. .93 teksid ported 4V, forged, 64mm turbo,sniper tune, BA2600maf, 90/10's, granitelli rear LCA's, 3.90's, QA-1 200in/lb fronts, tubular everything, coil overs.

2011GT, 300A, base model, 3.73, brembos, spoiler delete, candy red. current mods: lethal off road x-pipe, airraid cai, lethal 93 tune, roush axle back mufflers

the 5.4 sohc barely fits.. you wanna try to squeeze a 5.4 with DOHC heads in?

Sure it'd be tight, maybe even impossible without modifying the shock towers............

Is that a "oil crossover" assembly to move the oil filter to the rear?

How many of us 4.6L owners would like to have their filter in that location.

That's a 3v, this is a 4v http://truck.hownd.com/photo-2076-fo..._assembly.html And yes that's an adapter. I don't think it would fit in our cars though, too much crap in the way.

well, i was asking for the opposite reason,, i dont want the engine (i would rather just have a shelby in that case) im lookin at getting the transmission,, a tremec 6 speed with a remote shifter. ive allready seen 2 go on ebay for less than 2k!
