hesitant to start

Alright this rarely happens, and i just replaced my battery not to long ago. but some mornings when i go out to my car it doesnt crank when i turn my key. If i hold it in the start position for 5-10 seconds then it will crank over. Anyone know what this could be?

My supercoupe had the problem with the lead on the starter corroding and intermittently would not start. This was a common problem with them, my 97 never did that but it could be a possibility.

I took off the lead, cleaned it with a wire brush, popped it back on and haven't had a problem since.

if you have to hold the key like that, im thinking something with fuel. maybe your fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump
