Good luck to all the people who are currently using those gears. Hopefully people will spread the word fast enough for them to start pulling that junk out of their engines before theres more catastrophic failures. That guy handled it way better than I would have if my $10k motor got shredded.

I wonder if sending a "terse email" is really the best avenue to go.... especially when you are expecting someone to pay to rebuild your engine (knowing that most aftermarket parts are only guaranteed for the part, not any subsequent damage they may cause)...

I have a built-from-all-new top-of-the-line components 4.6l Modular Ford engine that I made the mistake of installing your cam gears on.
Sad as it sounds sometimes actually listening to what people say can save you problems (and money)...

He tried to dissuade me from using your gears the minute he held them in his hands. Several threads on Mustang boards called the quality of your product into question. I should have listened.
I always find it funny when people start trying to resolve an issue by starting off insulting the other party. Yes, I've sent my share of "terse emails", but usually only after all attempts at reconciliation have been exhausted....

Oh well, just my .02.

Don't forget, the Comp Cams gears are exactly the same. Avoid them as well.

Are they actually manufactured by the same people? I know of some aftermarket parts that have been like that in the past, like the BBK/Edelbrock TBs for the 4.6 and 5.4
