Best Way to Reset Computer

When it comes to reseting the computer on my 4.6L 96 LX, I have heard a few different ways in which to reset the computer. Which is the simplest or best way to do this?

96' 4.6l LX Sport - Modding put on hold for awhile
91' Chevy 1500 - Can't wait for the 383 Stroker

  1. Pull the fuse for the EEC. (15?)
  2. Put the key in the ignition.
  3. Turn the engine over a couple of times.
  4. Replace the fuse.
That's it. Takes less than a minute.

Tinman is right- that easy. Another option is just disconnect the battery and leave it that way for at least one hour. If I have the time, I play it safe and leave it off over night--twice It did not reset after an hour with other cars. Good luck.

Best way is the "Fuse 15" method.

No sense in losing your radio and clock settings.......
