That looks more like a hard cloth top T Bird to me, but there are a few custom Thunderbirds out there, AFAIK there were no production convertibles.

A hard top with cloth covering is exactly what it appears to be. Notice the existence of the window frame on the door and the presence of the ‘B pillar’.

there selling it as a rare convertible thunderbird for $6500.00 CDN. With it being that expensive i hope that it is a convertible

That thing is ugly. Just needs some 26s to complete the look.

That's a hard top. See the ventshades and B pillar.

$6500 CDN is a pretty fair price, actually a little low for a decent 96 - 97 4.6L TBird here. I am speaking of Regina, SK, Canada. It could be the same for where that Bird is located.

nah thats just a carriage top ... porbably dealer installed... could be worse could be one of those cloth tops that like rolls back that is soooo ricey

It's just a hardtop that's been raped by a regional aftermarket "limited edition" outfitter who installed a carriage top... thank the old people for their existance.

The only legit convertible MN12 i've seen is this Merc concept car they asked ASC to build.



Just wondering, has anyone ever seen this one with the roof up?
