anybody happen to get MM&FF

if so have you read the article about the OHC mod motors Cam timing? might be something worth looking into.

1988 Mustang GT 306, 4 bbl holley, edlebrock intake, nitrous cam, 4 inch cowl hood.
94 LX PI swapped Bird (sold) missing that car so bad

I think that is kind of an extreme HP gain.
But...

the only reason i am saying is because i also called ford today and asked the tolerances...up to 7 degrees either way on each cam...so thats a total of 14 degrees off either way the motor could be.

I no longer subscribe to MM&FF(thank GOD!).

I am going to venture a guess someone made adjustable cam gears much like nearly every OHC import has?

no it was talking about how from the factory ford allows each cam to be 7 degrees +/- as the tollerance...so a 4.6 or 5.4 could be up to 14 degrees off.
in cam timing.

Kind of like the zetecs, with those, everyone was different, there is a tool set you can buy for the zetec to bring it back to TDC, cam timing on those is a pita, I don't miss mine, but the look on people's faces when you kept up with them
