injector swap question...

trying to finish up a 97 CV to 96 t-bird swap.was changing the fuel rails out when i noticed the injectors were different.i used the CV injectors because they were cleaner and the bird injectors came out of the intake without the "covers"?.the part #'s are different, anyone know if the car will run right?

if they came from a 97 crown vic they are most likely still 19#ers and as long as they plug in then they should be fine. Are they skinny injectors??

They should be just OK. My Brother's 97 Cougar must have had that same swap because his are the fat type and work fine.

The fater ones are gen 1 and the skinnier ones are gen 2. The skinnier ones actually flow more fuel at higher pressure and they provide better fuel atomization. Then gen 3 are also the improved design but have the newer oval connectors and wouln't plug into an older harness without a plug adapters.
