Help Anyone know a Mechanic!

Yes guys my engine compression is going and i need a rebuild 3.8sc 89 auto v6 if you guys could get me prices that would be great

How do you know your compression is going?

Leakdown test, compression test?

97 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC (Chip'd, 3.73 T/L... so far... )
97 Ford Aspire (Slow, but getting 36 mpg (f'n Ethenol!! )

You can feel the power loss! when you gun it! my budie has a stock 89 like mine and his is faster!!! Then mine is and mine has mod's done to it!

Just because they are the same cars/engines on paper, doesn't mean they actually will perform the same.

I wouldn't worry about it...if your enginge goes, stick a 390 or 429 in there.

390 is a bad idea, too dang heavy , but id love to see a 429 s/c with efi!

well im running a slow time slip now so i know my car is getting weaker so i do need a rebuild!

aaahhh but its 16 years old and at 170,000 miles! thats alot! so i guess ill just rebiuld the engine and have it hooked up while itds being rebuilt
