KY Derby 06'

Thank God the derby is over! Downtown Louisville was like a mad house. Even though they pretty much shout down cruising on Broadway, all they did was congregate on other streets.

For those who maybe fimilar with those old school cars, but only now they have those 22's or 24" Chrome wheels. OMFG, How UGLY!! That's just my opinion though, reminds me of the new HOT WHEEL Collection that it out. And those bright colored paint jobs.

Oh... and the loud rattling noise coming from there trunks.... sounds like there car is falling apart just for some music to listen too.

Did anyone see the article in the CJ reporting the first Derby car show? I think as the cruising gets shut down more and more with each passing year, this car show will be huge. I've always thought that this was the way they should have gone the whole time instead of coming up with concerts and such. I mean come on, the Derby cruising originally started because of people wanting to show there cars off!

Yeah, I had to work a mandatory 12 hours overtime - ended up working 20 hours straight. First 8 hours were my normal shift on Derby morning. It didn't seem that there were too many problems but the jail was packed with 25 plus prisoners both times we dropped one off there.

The last 12 hours were spent at Trackside (off track betting) on poplar level road. I preferred that to working at Churchill Downs. Over the years, I've learned how to avoid the Derby congestion - lol.
