how does this type of dyno work......is it the kind that they take your back wheels off and bolt up to it ? Do they monitor the a/f ratio during the pull and is the accelleration computer controlled or does someone sit in the car and give it the gas ?? I'm not too familiar with dynos so any information on it would be great.

Thank,
Jon P.

1996 T-bird, 4.6 with ported PI heads and VT stage 2 cams, JBA shorty headers, 3000 stall converter, 3.73 gears and just about every bolt on available.
Dyno tune results: 275.9rwhp and 301.4 torque.
Best 1/4 mile time: 13.65 at 99.52 mph.
Now I need more gear, more stall and some drag radials !!

This is Livernois Motorsports Portable Dyno. The car is backed onto 2 large wheels that are inset in the platform of the dyno and is then strapped down. The dyno operator or car owner then does a full acceleration pull and gets a print off of the numbers along with a graph. Livernois does do air/fuel maps and dyno tuning, but not on their portable dyno.

Indeed, Judging was quite interesting, the groupings weren't entirely thought out. How can a 63 Thunderbird be considered a Street machine along with 69 Road Runners.. Atleast I didn't pay for admission.

Blue Angels will be at Selfridge, and I won't be going to that, not at all, had my share of Air shows for the year. All day sunday wasn't fun.

As for the show, too bad more TCCoA couldn't come. I mean there really wasn't alot of MN12 or Thunderbird for that matter at this show.

Not sure the Blue Angels will be at Selfridge; it's not on the Selfridge site nor on the Blue Angels site either. In fact the Blue Angels will be at Pensacola on the 21st and the 22nd is an off day for them. They're not in Michigan for the rest of this show season.
