It is only a couple of miles away, I would like to go, although I have the comapny golf outing that day. I will probably catch the very end if possible.

Company golf outing? La-dee-da!!!

Roger - what the hell, take the old Bird there anyway! I'm thinking of showing mine in the "daily driver" category! Only wish I didn't have the peeling paint on the bumper and hood chips issues! I saw only 2 MN-12s there once a few years back and they looked waaayyyyy rougher than mine!

Man, I wish I knew about this sooner. I have too many conflicts that Sunday plus I only have storage insurance on the Bird at the moment.

Plus it's all Thunderbirds anyway! Roger, how about entering the old Bird? Like I said, you can enter your daily drivers - I saw about 2 MN-12s about 4 years ago when I was there and they were pretty bad.

The old bird would be the only bird I could throw in there. Really, can't tow another over there.

I plan on making it there too so let me know what time you'll be out there so I can try and meet up with ya. I'll be in my blue '96.

1996 T-bird, 4.6 with ported PI heads and VT stage 2 cams, JBA shorty headers, 3000 stall converter, 3.73 gears and just about every bolt on available.
Dyno tune results: 275.9rwhp and 301.4 torque.
Best 1/4 mile time: 13.65 at 99.52 mph.
Now I need more gear, more stall and some drag radials !!

I'm in the choir at church and we sing at the 10 AM mass which is over at 11, so I'll probably be there around noon.

Sorry guys but I decided not to go to this one......don't like the looks of the weather. I went to Livonia yesterday and it was not a good trip.......glad I wasn't in the T-Bird !! Took me an extra hour to get there and about 40 min extra to get back !! Between the trip there and back yesterday I must have seen at least 25-30 wrecks on the side of the road and there was also some flooded areas as well. I just don't want to take the chance with all those idiots on the road. There was only one pile-up of about 6 cars that I saw yesterday and the rest were people that lost it and hit the median wall and caused others to spin out avoiding them. Mostly it was the dummies that wanted to still do 70+ mph in the rain on water covered roads while the rest of us were doing 40-50 mph. Gotta love those idiot drivers out there !! Well, hopefully we'll have good weather for the meet next weekend ! See you all there !

Well I went, it wasn't swampland at all! They had the 1980 to 2007 TBirds right there at West Chicago St and Middlebelt Rd where the light is, under the trees. When I rolled in right at 1 PM sharp there was a gorgeous red 1988 Turbo Coupe, a Laser Red 1997 LX that had a blower engine, PHATBRD's orange '94 and then my daily driver. A red '90 Supercoupe and a Pearl White '94 Supercoupe came in right after I did, and there was a silver '85 already there facing us. There were about 10 vintage Birds and a handful of 2002-2005 Birds as well. The weather kept everyone else mostly away and there was no judging because of the sprinkles. It was on and off rain for some of the time I was there and everyone pretty much took off at 2:15! The organizers were thinking of holding this in August next year.

Sorry but I forgot to take my camera so there aren't any pics! All in all it wasn't bad!

That is why I didn't go, those newer cars can handle the rain a little better. My old girl leaks... Gotta fix those seals.

It was a drizzle really, the old Bird could have made it no problem - she's built sturdy!
