Not much! Its been pretty quiet in the Michigan Chapter. Gonzo's Thunderbird was pretty much the only action in Michigan all year.

I have some cool parts coming in Spring..
  • Michelin Sport A/S Plus Tires
  • Ford 5 star rims
  • Possible Dynotech Driveshaft, if its required to fix my vibration problem.
  • Marauder Torque Converter with JMOD Valve body
  • SCP Front Strut Brace
  • RichardM Intake tube

Hopefully it will be a short winter!

How about you guys? Anyone else doing anything?

As usual I have a number of irons in the fire. Likely order of getting them done is:
1. Re-engineer the water/meth injection system to improve IAT - February
2. Update tune on chassis dyno with more timing advance (assumes #1 above is successful) - March
3. Buy new DRs (M/T ET Street Radials) in 255/50/16 size - March
4. Attempt to achieve 11.8 second ET at Milan - April
5. Finish installing the Hurst Roll Control - TBD (pending time)
6. Upgrade differential, cover and halfshafts - TBD (pending funds)
Some time in here, I need to fix the radio (which turns itself on and off when I go over bumps) and the HVAC blower (which does the same).

My overall goal for 2012 is to drive the car more and work on it less. Which, of course, is not obvious from the list above! Due to engine and trans issues, rebuilds, etc, I got very limited drive time the last two years. That has to change.

Lets plan a meet to Milan. I want to get out there early as well. Hopefully, Blue Oval can do all of my work quickly!

Agreed - I like to get out early in the year when the air is still cool. If we can find a sunny day to warm up the track surface, even better.

Opening day at Milan this year is Saturday April 14th. The Wednesday night test 'n tunes start on April 18th. The schedule for April and May shows some other Saturdays which include test 'n tune opportunities. I would prefer a Saturday over a Wednesday evening, but either could conceivably work.

I just have so much to do, I don't know if I can get in before April 14th. I really hope the salt goes away quick. It will be nice to have my trip to Oval Repair be done by that time.

Keep me in the loop on whats going on.

I think someone is going to use the shell and some parts so it'll live on in someone else's car. But not the engine - it's good now for melting down.
