2 points? I got no points for my 5-over ticket, but then again I think the cop did something to make that happen.

In most states there is nothing until you are 10 over, and in most states the troopers will leave you alone unless you are going 10 over. I've passed dozens of deputies, troopers, etc. at 7-8 mph over and not even raised an eyebrow. once in a while they'll flash the lights at me. The times I have been pulled over its been warnings. (except for the recent 74 in a 50. But that was WAY over 10 over!) Of course I'm 42 and you're 18. Perhaps they like to make an impression on young minds.

the cops around my house know my car. if they see me on the road they follow me were ever i am going. ive got many more tickets but ive got out of a few. ive had my car searched for no reason. and they got mad cuz they found notin and gave me a ticket for runnin a red light. i went to court and the judge laughed at the cop.

lol I don't think they got to know your car by the "careful driver" awards stuck to it. Usually if cops get to know a car it isn't because it has been blending in with traffic. Just something to think about.

part of the reason is the cops get called to my house all the time. my neighbors dont care for me too much. i guess they dont like the noise i make with the car, dirt bikes, rc cars u know. they knew me before i got my car. im not sayin ive never dont nothin wrong before. i believe the two 100ft black marks in front of my house say it all lol

steve, it was before i went out to gratiot, i was with a friend and hes never seen or ridden in my car before,

i was heading west on 9 mile, and a cop was going east, i turned from greater mack onto 9 and once i was going strait i kinda got on it a little, and stoped at the next light, and the cop was also stopped at the light going the other way. he saw me, and about a mile down the road he pulled me over. he asked why i thought he pulled i had no idea, he said "u were going a little fast back there" i dont think i went like 2 mph over the speed limit before i had to slow down, and i didnt even slow down fast. so he went to his car and came back with a 5 over ticket, i dont even think he clocked me, or anything, just being an ***.... and then i got my windows tinted 2 weeks ago and he said if i get pulled over again by him hes gonna write me a ticket for those to.

but its my first ticket, im gonna go to court and try to get out of it.

My motto is "Never just give in and pay the ticket; ALWAYS go to court".

I'm always lucky going to court for my tickets, even if you have to pay the fine, usually the judge will take off the point's so your license is still clear.

I live in Detroit so the cop's almost NEVER show up!

If you went to the policemans car, did you check to see if the radar showed your speed? They are required by law to show you what the radar said if you ask. At least that is my understanding. If it didn't show your speed, you may be in luck!

Yeah, I would go to court for that. If you're lucky, he might not show, but even if he doesn't you may be able to get it commuted to a warning or fine only.

10 over is impeding traffic!? I would think that it'd be helping traffic move faster, lol.
