The Next MI Meet?

Ok I was just sitting here thinking there's all these people here in MIhttp://forums.tccoa.com/showthread.p...6&page=2&pp=30 when are we going to have a meet where everyone get's together and take pic's. I know the last thing we had we did a j-mod and were covered in trans fluid so no one took pics but there was 4 of us. 1 of them no longer has there t-bird . If there's going to be a big meet or if any one want's to speak up. I will be tearing apart the engine in my cougar within the next month so if there's going to be something I'd like to be there and i'm sure other people may have plans with there car. That and it also feel's like winter is here w/ the temperature here.

same place we had one last year.
how come we have meets AFTER the dream cruise, instead of during, so we can get that much needed recognition?

I was at the Dream Cruise but unfortunately my car is nowhere near finished. Maybe by next year it'll be ready to show but right now it doesn't even run. I'd still come to a meet, though I'd be driving a ZX2...

I might show up at the next meet even though I sold my car. i've met a few guys from here, I'd like to see what a few more guys have going on with their MN-12's. The Bird is gone but I still appreciate these cars. My dad never keeping anything around kind of wore off on me I guess.

please be September 10.
September 3 is labor day weekend. I got to go to Pennsylvania and pick up the brush guard and some light's and a K&N kit for my truck.
(air filter kit and light's are free so I can't beat it)

ok. September 10, which is 2 Saturdays from now at high noon? Last year, we met up there, ate, took pics, and then went to cruise Woodward. There should be no less than 10 TCCOA'ers out there.

September 10 sounds great. I'll be in Canada over Labor Day weekend so I won't be available then, but I'll definitely be there for the 10th.

I just came back from speaking to the manager. He said as long as we show up, there shouldn't be a problem with us having the entire lot, which is 50 spaces, not including the handicapped spots. The prime spots are the ones which face Long Lake on the northern side and Livernois on the western side. I'll be there at 11-1130. Here is the address:
T-Birds
Chicken & Ribs
4970 Livernois (@ Long Lake)
Troy, Mi
248-6894-690
tbirdschix.com
Here is the map

This is basically the route we'll take to go cruise Woodward once we leave the restaurant. The purple is the route that Mapquest gave me. It's 7.71 miles on Long Lake to Woodward, then south from Woodward to 13 Mile, loop around and park either at the plaza right on the corner, or south at the Ford dealership or downtown Birmingham.

I was there last year even though my bird wasn't able to make it.......and I'll try to be there this year with my Bird. I've just about got all the parts I need to put the head back on my car. I'm gonna start this weekend and hopefully finish it up over the holiday weekend. If the car's not together I might have to show up in the old Ranger again......LOL

Later,
Jon P.

1996 T-bird, 4.6 with ported PI heads and VT stage 2 cams, JBA shorty headers, 3000 stall converter, 3.73 gears and just about every bolt on available.
Dyno tune results: 275.9rwhp and 301.4 torque.
Best 1/4 mile time: 13.65 at 99.52 mph.
Now I need more gear, more stall and some drag radials !!

I've got some pics of my ex-car in front of that joint. I'm about a mile away from there.

I'll show up (in the Lightning) unless I am off some where picking up my new project that weekend.

Get off on 69 east. The 1st street is Livernois. Go north on Livernois, past Wattles, which is the next main street to Long Lake. The restaurant is on the right.

According to Mapquest, it's 2.57 miles.
