i dunno either in my 90 cougar the speedo stopped at 199kpm but it went for a while when it was buried. the governor didnt kick on ever in that car....

so who knows if there speedo is correct up that high mine says 120 when i hit the rev limiter but the gps says 108. the gps is correct in stock cars with the right size tires.

in my 95 cougar xr7 up till the damn governor kicked in, and my record setting, i was in the passenger side (wingman) of these cars, and still havent been no where close to breaking it. 180 mph in a 2000 corvette . boy that is some scary s*** it was so fast we got to the club in 3 mins. in what would of been a 25-30 min. drive. 130 in a 2003 ferrari 360- got pulled over & got off easy. the good ol days
Speedo buried HARD at 120.....in my 89 SC, my 90 SC, a friends 95 LX, and in my 97 LX sport.
