Idle Pulley Bolt

anyone have an extra torx bolt that holds on the idler arm (not the one that holds on the pulley)? i am in dire need.

You mean the bolts that hold down the tensioner?

there should only be one bolt, but yes, its what connects thet tensioner to the block or bracket.

i have one on my old engine. no clue how to get it off, tried before. impact maybe?

i dunno if he's talking about the tensioner bolt, its another arm (idler) that is to the left of the alternator on the 3.8 and also has a pully on it. at least i think that is the one he is talking about. the tensioner on a 3.8 is alsmost next to the crank pully down below.

you cans ee it here, directly next to the alternator the pully is below the fan shroud...

The fact that he's looking for a torx bit implies he's working with the tensioner since that's the only torx bolt on the accessory drive.

nope, thats the idler pulley. the tensioner pulley is attached to same bracket as the a/c compressor.

mine's on the pas. side below the a/c compressor. should be the same right? you want it? lemme know

my pulley by the alt is stationary and mounts to the alt. bracket. the one you want ( i think) is the one with the plastic pulley and it's the one you pull up to get the belt off.

oh ok seemd to be 2 things between "tensioner" and "idler", The Stevinator originally said bolt to idler arm...
