Idles high when hot

It seems like I replace the idle air control motor every year, then then problem goes away for a while. Is there a sensor that controls the iac that could instead be the problem??? Im almost willing to live with it since it only happens a few times a week and iacs are $$$.

Make sure the throttle-body, IAC opening and the throttle plate are clean and that nobody messed with the throttle plate adjustment screw. If anything is restricting ore allowing to much airflow, the IAC will struggle to hold it at the assigned idle and eventually fail.

MAF & TPS are other suspects as well as vacuum leaks.
