Well i just finished doing the headgaskets on my 5.0 stang, and now im starting on my thunderbird, Just got heads off, and now im waiting on parts. Its funny that both cars would blow the headgaskets about 1 week apart.

quick question, when I took off the drivers side head, it was nice and clean. Everyhting came off in order. When I took off the passenders side, I soon realized that the rocker arm pedestels (where the rocker arm bolts to the head) It was cracked on 3 of the rockers. Is this head still useable? the threads seem to all be fine the cracks don't pretrude into them, however where the rocker arm sits in, is cracked.

Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it. Take it to a machine shop and see what they say. Heads can be found cheap enough if you need to replace it.
