Temp Problems!

So the past couple days my car takes forever to warm up. When it does it shoots up just past the M in NORM then after a couple seconds it goes back down to below the N. It does this over and over. Could it just be a faulty T-Stat? I replaced it back in '03 I think.
I hope its not eh Head-gaskets I really dont have any money to replace them.

sounds like what was happening to my Cougar when I had to get rid of her. It was head gaskets. So yeah....could try the thermostat.

So today I checked my oil. As far as I can tell its not milky. What is it supposed to look like if there IS coolant in my oil?

Jimmy,

First, is your coolant constantly needing to be topped off?

I had an Intake gasket leak and no coolant ever showed up in the oil, but it did on my spark plugs. The plugs had green gunk on the ground strap.

I have a set of Ford gaskets I bought within the last year if you are interested.

The Parts Bin Special is DEAD! It is being parted out.
