Found this Info, haven't seen this in any threads here? TFI causes hard start issues when engine is warm.

TFI do we have this on our 3.8?

In your first link, it mentions it was moved to the radiator support.

That may be failing - but I'd resist the impulse to buy a third-party unit and stick with Ford. Also decent heat sink compound between it and the frame, cleaning everything off as well as possible.

And if you could - pull the new unit off the heat sink, clean the interface layer with alcohol, and use as thin a coat of heat sink compound as possible to help THAT work better.

I'm going to check it out today, see if it looks nasty? thinking of my prob, seems pretty common on a lot of cars,my son has a 92 300e mb ,has similar prob, those cars use a fuel accumulator to keep syst pressurized ,and when those go bad cause warm start issues,in our cars it the fuel pressure regulator that serves this function ,right?
about 6 months ago I fixed a really bad missing prob, turned out to be bad corroded coil. replaced that ,but didn't replace condenser ,wonder it it could cause a problem to? not sure if I have a condenser next to coil, but looks like one?
