Crank Pulley Removal

I have an ASP underdrive pulley that I bought used and would like to install. I also have the correct shorter belt as well. However, I can't for the life of me get the crank pulley to stop turning while attempting to remove.

I tried using both small and large screw drivers in the harmonic balancer, didn't work. Is there an easier way to do this? If this requires air tools, I may skip doing it.

You can open up the inspection cover on the transmission and put a box wrench on one off the torque convertor nuts. When you try to remove the screws from the pulley it will wedge the wrench against the tranny housing preventing it from turning.

a electric impact gun should work to take it off and then install it some what tight and then torque the bolt to specs after you get the belt on that's how I did mine but I used a air gun

Thanks for the help! I'll try using a box wrench on a converter and I can borrow an electric impact gun to attempt to get this off.
