Question One Question...

Ok...What exactly is the difference between the 3.8 out of a mustang that i have...and the T-bird 3.8's???
Cause, i've heard a 3.8 Bird w/ the exhaust cut before and it sounded nasty!!! but I just cut my exhaust today, cause were gettin ready to put on some Flowmaster's..."i have dual Exhaust" and it sound's good...deep and rich....really nice amazingly...kinda shocked me. plus...everyone that hear's my motor say's it sounds supercharded...it's really cool...but it drown's out the sound of the exhaust at high RPM's...how can i cut down the motor noise and get more exhaust???

Thanks ahead of time!

50?! Only if he has a 99+ stang.

If you have a pre-99 the engines are the same. The difference is in the intake (might you have a removed intake silencer?)

There you go...

It's your porting of the intake that eliminates the whine. Intake whine is a bad thing, it means the intake is restrictive.

btw, there is no such thing as 3.23 gears. they are 3.27's

Yeah, my bad

The gear's are supposed to be out of a 89' SC, I blew the differential doing very stupid things w/ my car and i had to replace them...took a good day to figure it all out.
as for the motor, it's either a 93 or a 94, not completely sure. The guy i bought my car from said he blew the old motor, cause the head gasket's went and he kept drivin it...and when he had the new motor put in, he said he requested a Mustang 3.8 and that it was either a 93' or a 94'. i've pretty much just assumed it was a 93'. if i find out it's out of a 94', then i'll be upgrading to RollerRocker arms as soon as i have the cash. because the only set of Roller Rocker's i've found are for a 94-97 3.8 N/A.

yes...3.8's began in the stang in 94...94-98 had the same motor as mn12's except the stangs had headers and DIS ignition...which makes me wonder how you have a distributor? unless it was converted... 96-97 mn12 3.8's are pretty much the same as the stang 3.8's...(headers and DIS)...i believe 96-97 had longer rods and maybe a few other differences?
