bad mount?

i just replaced my right mount, cuz that one had collasped but i didn't touch the left one (left being driver side). now when um accelerating from a stop in first gear, the moves to the right, could this be because the engine is torquing up on the new right mount because the left one is bad. i didn't get to that one because it was very tight.
thanks for any info.

The driver's side mount is the one that usually needs replacement because it receives the most stress. You really should replace both at once.

When the mount is broken, you can tell very easily just be viewing the twist of the engine and by actually looking at the mount as you have a friend press down on the brake while giving it some gas.
