oil air breather?

i'm sure this has happened to alot of people, where the oil air breather line that connects to the intake tube has gotten brittle and breaks very easily. but i was @ AutoZone last night and was passing through the "rice" section and saw these different colored oil air breather filters. i was wondering if instead of replacing that long oil air tube, to just get one of those oil air filters, b/c i think it dresses up the engine bay a little nicer. what do you guys think?

sure just block off both sides of the pcv so that you don't end up with an air leak. Sorry about the dirty engine bay, it needs some TLC if it ever warms up.

yep, Just at JustinH said, but you need to do both sides so you aren't using Metered Air. I had to do this on my Vorteched 3.8L to disable the PCV system since it kept blowing my dipstick tube out.

haha, that's kinda funny. Did you delete the valve cover to intake manifold tube also? I'll be deleting that this summer sometime with a whole catchcan setup so my car doesn't smell like butt.
