Anyone Know Where Coolant Temperature Switch Is Located???

I need to know where the coolant temperature switch is located...(Not the temperature sending unit).
Anyone Know?

JT...You are the man...thanks alot for the location of that switch.....I think you have just solved my temp problem...along with Marvin M's and about 10 other guys on this site...Thanks JT...such a clear and accurate picture.

Hey beirutsfinest.

hey i think i have replaced that sensor also, do i need to replace the ecc sensor or the switch that engages on top of the sensor?????

Marvin....

You need to replace the sensor itself (not the plastic piece on top....The sensor itself is referred to as a sensor or a switch....If you look at the sensor when you take it off...you will see that there are 2 metal rods coming out of the sensor on the top side of it..This is where the wires connect to it.

I will replace mine tomorrow (Sunday)...I'll let you know what happens, BTW..the sensor cost me $32.00

dude i have replaced my ecc temperature sensor and quess what..... problem solved ill let you know how it turns out tommorrow when i drive my cougie to work.
