I think my MAF is jacked

Should I get another from Ford or is there something better out there for my 3.8? Thx. in advance for your input

try cleaning it before it goes to the scrap pile. If you want to upgrade the maf, you need your tuner to flash your EEC with the right transfer function of the new maf.

I did clean it. I think it is responsible for my check engine light. Anyways you say upgrade I need Flash. I am not sure but I think you mean I need to change the chip. !st of al where can I get an upgraded maf and how will this benefit me? @nd where is a good place for the chip and is it worth it?

Question

First off, what year is your car? The 96-97s have a 70mm MAF and that would be a good upgrade for earlier year cars. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think you need a chip or a tune that Justin mentioned to get it to work. Check the junkyards and see what you can find.
