Question How do I get CEL Codes....

without going to Autozone? there are none close by and I'm to freaking busy to leave work. CEL comes on for a while, then goes off for a while, does this a few times and then comes on and stays on. Car is running fine but I want to get the problem taken care of before it starts NOT running fine.

Places like Advance Auto Parts have OBD-I scanners for under $35....it may be worth getting one.

FWIW, about halfway down this page, it's claimed that this book
may list a way of reading the codes without a scanner ("Most pre-OBDII cars...")....

I have a free way for you to read codes. Its a little hard to figure how to read them sometimes. Try this website it has everything to need to know without going out and buying a code scanner. www.dalidesign.com/hbook/eectest.html
good luck!!!
