change oli gadge

i have a 1990 xr7...and to the people who have one hey will no what im talking do u restart the change oil..i got my oil change recently and it still says change now...and now is flashing...thanks

I am not sure, but maybe some of this could help. Check your owners manual. You know, that thing in the glove box that is basicly useless, now see if it holds your answer. (not trying to be a jerk, I just think the book is usless. Page 1 "how to open the door of your car. ")

I know that for my Moms Olds Alero you reset the computer. So a quick way would be to just dissconect your battery for a few.

stick a paper clip in the hole, or press the button if theres one there
then hold it in and turn the key on, it will flash a few times and reset
and for the record, i searched for a while when I got the car and couldn't find it in the manual

Do what Jimbo said but make sure you just turn the key to the ON position. Don't crank and start the engine because that does something else to that idiot meter thing. I accidentally did that that it did all kinds of funky shiet.
