power steering question...

I have a 1996 tbird lx v-6 and i just had the power steering pump relaced by my mechanic and I cant remember if it did the same thing but at a stop if i start turning the wheel it kind of feels jerking like not smooth for a moment not severe, basically when driving its fine just at a complete stop and turning the wheel.

Sounds like your steering rack may be going bad. Another thing to check would be the ball joints.

yeah deffinetely fo sho check those ball joints out. I thought I had the same problem with my rack...then a week later my ball joint fell out! Not a fun thing to do in a parking lot in a 1" deep puddle when it's 40* outside. Check thoise first before anything.
