Oops, broke the plastic cruise control connector at the TB

When removing the throttle body to replace the TPS (that's a story in itself) I broke the plastic connection for the cruise control cable to the TB. Ford no longer stocks that part. Local salvage yards here are not much help. Any ideas? The cable is still good, just need the plastic piece on the end.

Thanks!
Bob

I probably have the part in stock. Email me at [email protected] for details. If you're able to take a picture of the exact part that you need, that would help.

Is this the piece you need (circled in yellow)?

Hey Rod,

Very close. Mine is a '96 and it is just a bit different. That's the problem I had at the salvage yard. The '96 (at least mine) has only two cables that attach to the throttle body. One is the accelerator pedal, the other the speed control. I think the older ones have a third cable that goes to the transmission, I could be wrong...wouldn't be the first time!

Thanks!

Bob,

You're absolutely correct. I didn't realize that part was different from the 94-97's. Unfortunately, I don't have any 94-97 3.8L parts cars (with engines at least) at the moment, so I don't have that part in stock.

that piece of the 94-97's is the same as ANY mn12 4r70w. I broke one on my 95 v8 one day thinking it pulled out, when it actually pulls up to come off and snapped it in half. I went to the junkyard and cut one off a 97 v6, they look identical. The piece at the end comes out, it held in by a few clips. You'll know if you look at it. The junkyard gave it to me for free.
