TPS sensor????

K i have a 90 bird with a 3.8na and it has trouble staring sometimes but as soon as u apply throttle it starts up right away and sometimes you have to give it gas when it starts up or it wants to stall...Could this be the TPS acting up?

Sounds more like the IAC isn't opening up enough (letting enough air into the engine) when you're starting it. By pressing the accelerator, you're opening up the throttle blade and letting air into the engine (basically doing the job of the IAC).

I'd try taking the IAC off and cleaning it out.

correct me if im wrong, but arent the lx and sc tb assemblies slightly different?

you could just buy a new IAC. Its two bolts, a plug, a gasket and you're done.
