Oil Leak.....

my g/f's car is a 1996 3.8, we noticed it was leaking oil and when we took it to our friends dad to have him change the plugs, he said it was a qt low, but he didnt have the chance to look for a leak... has anyone else had this problem? where are some possible places for the leak?? i know the filter and bolt... not sure what else.
thanks in advance for the help!!!

How long since last oil change?
What did the plugs look like?

Though possible leaks are: Piston rings, valve covers, oil pan.

If all else fails get a bigger hammer!

If your piston rings were screwy, you wouldnt see oil on the pavement. You'd see smoke out the tailpipe.

Pop the hood, and start from the highest point on the motor and work your way down to the ground, looking for leaks. Leaks go down, not up.

Then sounds like either the plug, filter or pan.

Ok, now pop your hood. Poke around with a light and find out where its coming from.

Basically, anything with a gasket is suspect at this point.
