Idle Reset

I am trying to reset the idle on my car and I can't figure out how to do it. I have an 88 Thunderbird 3.8 It's all stock. is there a special procedure to doing it? there was this pain in the *** routine I had to do on my cutty, I hope it's easier for the chicken.

Thanks
James

pull fuse #15 in the high current fuse box under the hood. that's the fuse for the computer. crank the car a few times (it won't start). replace fuse. start car. let idle for a few minutes, drive it around a mixture of city and highway. done.
