Underdrive Pullies

I heard that all the horsepower from the underdrive pullies comes from the crank pulley and not the alternator pulley. I have a stereo (which i might be selling) and I heard that the alternator pulley was bad if you had a big system. Is all this true? If not what are the facts? Any info is helpful. Thanks.

I can't speak from experience but people have said no, they have not had any problems. I don't have a system myself, maybe someone with one will post for you.
