Question about the air silencer and related components.

when i remove the air silcener and stuff , would it be good for my car if i take everything off up to the intake , then replace it with some of that flexibal exhaust type tubing and one of those coneish shaped filters ? kind of like a "cold air intake" like kids have on there ricers ? thanks

in short, no.

you are not going to gain anything by doing all that. Sorry

You can if you so desire. At best, you will gain a little throttle response, that's it.

No, the real reason people remove the silencer is to make the intake louder.

Just make sure you don't put the cone filter in the engine bay. If you do, make a box around it so that it doesn't suck hot air. We already have cold air induction from the factory.

Or as tinman stated, you can just remove the silencer and take advantage of the factory cold air intake
