This makes me wonder who will be taking care of the TCCoA track records...

It's only a matter of time until some of us are running 12's. There'd be more of us if the T-Bird were offered in split-port versions, but since there are so many 3.8s blowing HGs left and right, I'm guessing many will switch to either upped displacement or split-port.

Like I said before-- exciting times.

My only concern is durability... I wonder how long SteveC's rods will last with 11 lbs. of non-intercooled boost...

he has had that setup for quite a while now, UNTUNED ( VERY Dangerous).
I think it will hold up for a while since it got tuned, and I see the made a Pretty Rich/safe air to fuel ratio for it also. I, My self, wouldn't run 11psi though. I'm glad others like him are doing this though, we can see how far we can push our engines by there mistakes.

Tuned very well, spools to full boost around 2500 R.P.M.

My vortech supercharger Showed up yesterday!!!!
Now I need to send my Chip to fordchip, get 42# injectors, and a 85mm 02 GT MAF and It will be ready to rock! I'm not going to run an intercooler yet, I really don't think it will help much with 8-9psi of boost, I'm going to wait till I build the Forged 4.2L and bump the boost to 12-13psi before make an intercooler setup.

Well after you aquire a 4.2L to build up you can always crank your boost up to 11 or 12psi to see what the stock engine will do for how long. I'm happy for you to have a Vortech, how long will it be before you'll have it hooked up? I'm hoping to be able to see it by next summer.

TCCoA, there's no better way.

Rancher, It WOULD be interesting to see how much the 3.8 could handle, so maybe you should take one for the team and crank the boost when your 4.2 is ready. lol

Seriously, though. When I go boosted, I intend to run with an intercooler and a CO2 jet system into the intercooler for colder air-charge. I think I can get 12s in the quarter even with an auto... I just hope the 4R70W lasts long enough.

Oh you WILL see in next summer, I'm hoping to be able to run against a few other of our local Guys and see what kind of damage I can do, IT SHOULD pull a 14.0 run I'm thinking, possibly faster with a stall converter on board.
