Is the problem my alternator??

Here are the symptoms. I start the car, and the volts is one peg below the middle. The little battery below the volts gauge starts flashing, and my beeper sounds. When I get the RPM's up over 1000, the little battery under the volts stops flashing, and the beeper stops it annoying beep. Is this the alternator?

it's probably not putting out enough voltage until you spin it higher. It's probably your alternator, but most auto parts store's can check them for free, you might consider trying that.

if it is the alternator, i suggest upgrading to the 94-97 style. it is plug and play, and 130 amps instead of 75 amps.
