What year engines had the sensor located on the oil pan?

The 89-93's that came with VMM's had the sensors in the oil pan. AFAIK, VMM's were standard with the SC, and an option for the 3.8L NA.

I don't know about the 94-97's.

Vehicle Maintenance Monitor. It's the display located above the radio slot on some 89-93's.
