94 3.8L Stalls/cold Sputters/Hot

I have a 94 tbird with the 3.8L. the motor was replaced about 40K ago and i am having a problem with it.

when it is cold the engine will randomly stall/rough idle when stopping or parked. when accelerating it runs great/fast great throtle responce.

when is it warm to hot the engine under mid to hard acceleration will sputter/lunge but will not stall/rough idle when stopping. it also has poor acceleration throtle responce.

i have tried cleaing the maf.

any suggestions

Could be an IAC problem. Try cleaning it with oxygen sensor safe carb cleaner.

The Parts Bin Special is DEAD! It is being parted out.

nah, the IAC wouldn't effect it while he was driving. only if he was in idle mode. i would try reading the codes (even if a CEL wasnt thrown). could just be a sensor problem. Those are the worst!

Well your at it, check the fuel pressure at the rail. If that is good, then I would think possibly the TPS. The fuel pump wont throw a code, but a weak one gave me the same kinda problems your having. Also a bad TPS doesnt always trigger a CEL, but they will do funny things when they go bad, mine would buck randomly when at highway speeds.
