Does anyone know or has anyone any idea what the airflow numbers for stock and ported (or extrude honed or just modified) single port and split port plenum and intake? I am exploring why the single port seems to work so well before I decide whether to work mine (single port) or go get a split port setup. Thanks.
I agree that split port is better, if for on other reason than the broader powerband, but all the fastest v6s are running single port. And the truck engine does make great power, but it has more displacement and a bigger cam. The 3.8 in our cars is super neutered in my opinion.
Splitport heads are better flowing stock and they are both pretty similar when ported. I compared a Splitport with ported heads to my Single port with ported heads in which we both had the same cam and I made about 10rwhp less then him but 5ft-lbs more torque.
