Headers for the 3.8

I heard that you could find headers from a 3.8 Mustang and mount them to a 3.8 Tbird. Is this true? Is there any real benifit from this? Is there a lot of modification or is it just a bolt on job? What year Mustang is best and will it fit on an 88 3.8?

they will bolt up yes, but you wont be able to turn your car around

The headers on mustangs will bolt on, but they will hit the steering shaft. You'll need to do the steering shaft mod(search) or get headers for the v6 tbird(Supercoupeperformance.com sells them)

Or try the 96-97 MN12 headers. Better design than the early style 3.8 headers.

Good for about 5hp....possibly more if you are decently modded.

Some supercharged cars blow.......Others just pick up and move.

96/97 are the best option per cost (just ask Mike).

But will that fit an 88, and will the bolt right up to the existing exhaust and all the other things that need to work, heat riser, EGR, Ox sensor?
